NEWLiiNE Words & Music UK
These pages show the various NEWLiiNE UK enterprises which have developed over the last 10 years.
I have been deeply involved with the musical side for many years since I first learned to play the side-drum for The Church Lads Brigade in Wigan in the middle 1950's. Since then I have enjoyed life as a semi-pro' rock 'n roll drummer in many and various bands, been resident percussionist in the north of England social clubs and I've even played in a Lancashire Morris Dance Band from Bolton.
All of that was before I retired from Further Education in 1997. However, to this previous musical grounding I have recently added two new heavily indulged passions; that of the written word and one of individual creativity. That is why I have produced this web site of 'new lines' of my manifold endeavors, of which I hope, you will find enjoyable whilst exploring here. I also hope, that by spending some time browsing the different pages and following the many links to be found herein, will be as rewarding for you as it has been for me in putting all this - words & music and everything between - together. I hope you enjoy."

My Mersey Beat Hero of Today is: Bill Hart, who launched his concept of the Mersey Sound Wave some years ago.
This was to gather a vast collection of legendary guitars for display in Liverpool. He then created Lanky Beat, a project to promote and conserve the history of groups from Lancashire. This developed into a website, and three books.
Lankykats came next where regular charity live gigs for many of the groups concerned.
Lanky Beat now has its own radio show presented by Bill
The Lanky Beat Show
I was pleased to be able to write a special piece about Bill for his Lanky Beat publications.
